Recommendation
Accept donation of one 2021 ATS-ATS5 All-in-One electronic message board trailer (Serial No. 1B9AF5115MP825382) for a total value of $18,512 from the City of Needles.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). All costs associated with the donated trailer including insurance and maintenance will be funded through the law enforcement services contract with the City of Needles (City). Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's (Department) 2021-22 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department provides law enforcement services to the City on a contractual basis and is renewed annually. The Department is requesting approval to accept the donation of the electronic message board trailer to be used by the City of Needles Patrol Station during the course and scope of law enforcement duties within the City. The trailer will be returned to the City for disposal once its useful life has expired.

County Standard Practice 06-01SP requires departments to obtain Board of Supervisors approval of any donation valued over $10,000.
