RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Adopt Resolution to establish a "No Stopping, Standing, or Parking" zone pursuant to County Code Section 52.0118(a):
a. Along the west side of Cactus Avenue, from Manilla Street to 362 feet north of Ash Street, a distance of 717 feet, in the Bloomington area.
2. Direct the County Road Commissioner to perform such acts as necessary to implement the terms of the Resolution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The proposed Resolution will not result in significant costs to the Department of Public Works (Department). The minor administrative costs to update Department records and the cost to install and maintain signage for the "No Parking" zones are minimal and will be funded by Gas Tax revenue. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Department's 2021-22 Road Operations budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Subsequent to issues raised by concerned residents, the Department conducted a traffic engineering investigation on Cactus Avenue from Manilla Street to Ash Street, in the Bloomington area. The investigation revealed evidence of commercial vehicles parking on the west side of Cactus Avenue from Manilla Street to the existing no parking restriction, 362 feet north of Ash Street.
