Recommendation
Adopt the Sewer System Management Plans for wastewater collection systems located at the following San Bernardino County Regional Parks: Calico Ghost Town; Glen Helen; Mojave Narrows; Mojave River Forks; Prado; and Yucaipa.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Implementation of the Sewer System Management Plans (SSMP) is a requirement of the State Water Resources Control Board and the cost for preparation of the SSMP's was included in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Regional Parks Department (Regional Parks) and County Service Area 70, Agreement No. 19-449, approved by the Board of Supervisors (Board) on June 25, 2019 (Item No. 74).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Pursuant to Agreement No. 19-449, the Department of Public Works - Special Districts (Special Districts) provides wastewater treatment and wastewater collection system operation, maintenance, and management services for the County's various regional parks.
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) requires a complete SSMP document update every five (5) years.
