RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, approve Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Riverside wherein the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District will serve as a Participating Agency for California Task Force Six of the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System, effective upon signature by both parties and continuing until terminated as provided in the agreement.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County cost). In accordance with this Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), the City of Riverside (Riverside) will complete a cost reimbursement package for each applicable incident. The package will include response expenses incurred by the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) engaged in task force activities and will be part of an overall claim submitted to the United States Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). However, Section 3.3.2.5 of the MOA conditions Riverside's financial commitments to SBCFPD on availability/receipt of funds by Riverside from FEMA or other sources.
