Recommendation
Approve Emergency Facilities and Land Use Agreement (1291S821K4111) with United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service for the use of a portion of Glen Helen Regional Park, for the set-up of an Incident Command Post for the South Fire Incident (CA-BDU-012298), which started on August 25, 2021 and ended on August 30, 2021, whereby the County will receive a total of $30,300 for the use of the park.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this Emergency Facilities and Land Use Agreement (Agreement) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Under this Agreement, United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (Permittee) will pay the Regional Parks Department (Department) $5,050 a day for the use of a portion of Glen Helen Regional Park (Park). This consists of the use of a total of 10.1 acres for a total of six days at a rate of $500 per acre, per day.
All fees are consistent with the 2021-22 Board of Supervisors approved fee schedule.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On August 25, 2021, the South Fire Incident began in the Lytle Creek area in the San Bernardino Mountains.
