Approve Agreement with Advanced Sterilization Products Services, Inc, in the amount of $40,546, for preventative and maintenance services of Sterrad Sterilizers, for the period of December 15, 2021 through December 14, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $40,546 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2021-22 budget and will be included in the 2022-23 recommended budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of this Agreement will allow ARMC to obtain preventative maintenance and service of ARMC's three Sterrad Sterilizers. The sterilizers use low-temperature, hydrogen peroxide gas plasma technology to sanitize a wide range of instruments efficiently and effectively. ARMC's Sterile Processing Department manages and operates the sterilizers to clean and return the equipment to the operating rooms and other departments for patient care.
