RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District approve agreement with the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services in an amount not to exceed $75,000 for reimbursement of costs pertaining to San Bernardino County Fire Protection District employees attending Hazardous Materials Response Training, with a term effective upon approval by both parties and continuing through June 30, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). In accordance with this agreement, the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) will reimburse San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) for the cost of employees attending training related to the Regional Hazardous Materials Response Program through June 30, 2024. The total reimbursement amount shall not exceed $75,000. Should this agreement result in the need for any 2021-22 budget adjustments, those adjustments would be included in a future quarterly budget report for approval by the Board of Directors (Board).
