Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency:
Approve agreement between Chino Valley Independent Fire District and American Medical Response of Inland Empire to ensure the continued provision of needed emergency medical transportation services inside of Chino Valley Independent Fire District's areas of responsibility, effective November 16, 2021 through November 15, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This agreement, which ensures the needed emergency medical transportation services within Chino Valley Independent Fire District (CVIFD) areas of responsibility, will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The agreement identifies that American Medical Response of Inland Empire (AMR) will compensate CVIFD for specified equipment and staffing by CVIFD personnel.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA), as the local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency, is responsible for ensuring effective emergency medical services for the Counties of San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono. ICEMA administers State and local codes and regulations governing the provision of emergency medical care to the sick and injured at the scene of an emergency and during transport to a care hospital.
