RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve purchase of California Statewide Automated Welfare System software subscription licensing and support as part of the Transitional Assistance Department's workstation and laptop refresh, in an amount not to exceed $224,773, for the period of January 31, 2022 through October 28, 2024.
2. Authorize the Purchasing Agent to sign the California Statewide Automated Welfare System software subscription licensing and support County Purchase document (County Purchase SB-06-2021).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not require additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The California Statewide Automated Welfare System (CalSAWS) purchase of software subscription licensing will not exceed $224,773 ($202,014 for software licensing and $22,759 for support charges). This purchase will be funded with 96% ($215,782) state and federal funds made available through the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids, Medi-Cal and CalFresh allocations, and 4% ($8,991) Net County Cost. This purchase in the amount of $224,773 will be made in 2021-22 with the software subscription licensing and support services effective through October 28, 2024. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Human Services Administrative Claim 2021-22 budget.
