RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve a Memorandum of Understanding with California Department of Justice, California Justice Information Services Division, Justice Data and Investigative Services Bureau, for access to the Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System Information Exchange Web Services, in an annual amount not to exceed $25,000, for the contract term beginning April 12, 2022 through June 30, 2024.
2. Delegate authority to the EPIC Systems Manager and Departmental Information Systems Administrator to execute the Confidentiality and Security Compliance Statement and any subsequent amendments, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the EPIC Systems Manager and Departmental Information Systems Administrator to transmit copies of the Confidentiality and Security Compliance Statement and any subsequent amendments to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The annual not to exceed amount of $25,000 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act.
