Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to transfer to the County General Fund unclaimed assessment reduction property tax refunds in an amount not to exceed $487,025 for refunds issued prior to July 1, 2017.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Revenue in an amount not to exceed $487,025 has been included as sources in the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) 2021-22 budget.

*The statistics are reported by calendar year (January 1 through December 31). The amounts for 2015 represent warrants that stale dated after the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors (Board) authorized ATC to transfer to the County General Fund unclaimed assessment reduction property tax refunds issued prior to July 1, 2016 (Item No. 21 on October 27, 2020). The amounts for 2016 were issued after July 1, 2016. The 2017 amounts include 3,779 refunds in the amount of $14,707 that are under $10 dollars; refunds under $10 are not processed.
