RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve the following contract amendments to incorporate the contractor’s, Guadalupe Medina dba Santa Fe Building Maintenance, legal name change to Santa Fe Janitorial Maintenance Services, Inc., effective February 8, 2022, with no other changes to the contract amount or terms and conditions:
1. Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 21-668;
2. Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 21-669; and
3. Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 21-670.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the recommended contract amendments will not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There is no cost associated with amending the contracts to reflect the new legal name of Santa Fe Janitorial Maintenance Services, Inc.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Real Estate Services Department - Facilities Management (RESD-FM) is responsible for providing custodial services for San Bernardino County (County) owned and some leased facilities. Due to the number of buildings that require service and the geographical size of the County, private custodial service providers are contracted to service certain locations throughout the County.
On December 10, 2021, Guadalupe Medina dba Santa Fe Building Maintenance notified RESD-FM of its legal name change to Santa Fe Janitorial Maintenance Services, Inc. (Santa Fe) and provided RESD-FM with the new federal taxpayer identification number. RESD-FM is required to amend all contracts with Santa Fe to incorporate Santa Fe’s new corporate name.
PROCUREMENT
As the result of Requests for Proposal FMD121-FM-4029, FMD121-FM-4030 and FMD121-FM-4032, the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved the following contracts with Santa Fe Janitorial Maintenance Services, Inc. for custodial maintenance services:

Approval of this item by the Board will not impact the contracted services, term, or payment to the contractor. RESD-FM will continue to monitor contractor performance on a regular basis to ensure performance and compliance standards are met.
