RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve non-financial data access agreement with the California Department of Public Health to allow access to the Snowflake Interface for the use of a data set combining particular data elements specific to COVID-19 from the California Immunization Registries and California Reportable Disease Information Exchange System by San Bernardino County, for the period of May 24, 2022 through May 23, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommended agreement is non-financial in nature and as such, does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The recommended non-financial data access agreement (Agreement) with the California Department of Public Health, Division of Communicable Disease Control (State) will provide the Department of Public Health (DPH) with access to the Snowflake Interface, used to access California Immunization Registries (CAIR2), with access to California Reportable Disease Information Exchange (CalREDIE) system, concurrently. The CAIR2 system is a system available to health care providers to access vaccination data. The CalREDIE system, the State's communicable disease reporting and surveillance system of record, is utilized by state and local public health officials and healthcare providers.
