RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Software Subscription License Agreement No. 21-416 with CBORD Group, Inc., to license software for processing cafeteria payment transactions and patient nutrition management, increasing the contract by $98,813, from $56,797 to $155,610, with no change to the contract period of June 8, 2021 through June 7, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The additional cost of $98,813 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2021-22 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the amendment with CBORD Group, Inc. (CBORD) will allow ARMC to continue to provide quality nutrition care for patients, hospital guests, and hospital staff. The software program helps ARMC staff manage patient meals and meet regulatory compliance for therapeutic diets. The software program helps to ensure patients will receive meals according to their diet order, allergy restrictions, and personal food preferences.
