RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, approve revenue agreement with the City of Upland for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District to provide onsite fire and life safety protection services for city sponsored events, for the period commencing May 24, 2022, through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this agreement will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The actual cost for San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) to provide onsite fire and life safety protection services at the City of Upland's events will vary depending on the number and size of the events scheduled. Services will be billed to the City of Upland at hourly rates as identified in the agreement, and the revenue from this agreement will provide full cost recovery for SBCFPD. Sufficient appropriation and revenue for this agreement are included in SBCFPD's 2021-22 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
SBCFPD provides services to more than 60 communities/cities under its jurisdiction, including the City of Upland as well as all unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County.
