BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Probation Department’s (Probation) Gateway to Arise (Arise) Program provides various services to youth committed in the Division of Juvenile Justice Realigned Youth, that are evidence-based, best practice, trauma informed, and/or culturally responsive. Services provided in the Arise Program include mentoring, therapy services, psychological services, life skills classes, computer training, intervention services, and workforce development. These services will support positive youth development, build the capacity of a continuum of community-based approaches, and help reduce crime by youth.
