RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Consider proposed ordinance relating to compensation and working terms and conditions for the Extra-Help Appointment.
2. Make alterations, if necessary, to proposed ordinance.
3. Approve introduction of proposed ordinance:
* An ordinance of San Bernardino County, State of California, to amend Section 13.0628 of the San Bernardino County Code relating to compensation and working terms and conditions for the Extra-Help Appointment.
4. SCHEDULE ORDINANCE FOR FINAL ADOPTION ON TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 2022, on the Consent Calendar.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost), contingent upon the cost being eligible under American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) guidelines. This item includes a one-time cost of approximately $3 million for COVID-19 premium bonus pay. It is expected that the County will be reimbursed for this cost through an allocation of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.

The financial impact of this item was presented and approved by the Board of Supervisors (Board) on May 10, 2022 (Item No. 62).
