California Environmental Quality Act Finding and Plans and Specifications for the City Creek Road Guardrail Replacement Project in the Running Springs Area

RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Find that the City Creek Road Guardrail Replacement Project in the Running Springs area is exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act, Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations Section 15301(c), Class 1 (existing facilities) and Section 15302(c), Class 2 (replacement or reconstruction).
2. Approve the City Creek Road Guardrail Replacement Project in the Running Springs area as defined in the Notice of Exemption and direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to file and post the Notice of Exemption.
3. Approve the plans and specifications for the City Creek Road Guardrail Replacement Project in the Running Springs area, as signed and sealed by a registered civil engineer.
4. Authorize the Director of the Department of Public Works to advertise the City Creek Road Guardrail Replacement Project in the Running Springs area for formal bids.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The City Creek Road Guardrail Replacement Project in the Running Springs area (Project) will be funded with Gas Tax revenue. The requested actions are administrative in nature with minimal financial impact.
