Recommendation
Approve Agreement with Play Share LLC for three automated locker systems that provide and store recreational equipment for park users at Cucamonga-Guasti and Yucaipa Regional Parks, as a pilot for the period of August 15, 2022, through February 15, 2023.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not require the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Under this Agreement, the Regional Parks Department (Department) will receive fifteen percent of the net revenue generated from these locker systems from Play Share LLC (Contractor). The locker systems will be provided at no cost to the Department.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department operates and maintains eight regional parks within San Bernardino County, including Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in the City of Ontario and Yucaipa Regional Park in the City of Yucaipa. Approval of the recommended Agreement will allow park users to rent recreational equipment to use at the parks. The Contractor provides all equipment, software, and lockers at no cost to the Department. Contractor will maintain lockers and replace equipment as needed and within 24 hours of notification from Department staff.

At the end of the pilot period, the Department has the option to return the lockers, or keep them and extend the contract term for two, one-year terms with the same percent in revenue share. The success of the pilot perio...
