RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve a non-financial agreement template, including a non-standard term, with approved licensed orthopedists or pediatricians to provide Medical Therapy Conference services to children under the California Children's Services Program, for the period of August 9, 2022 through July 31, 2027.
2. Authorize the Assistant Executive Officer of Department Operations, the Deputy Executive Officer of Human Services, or the Director of the Department of Public Health to execute the non-financial agreement template with the individually approved licensed orthopedists or pediatricians, on behalf of the County.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item is non-financial in nature and does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost for providing the professional liability coverage is included in the County's insurance coverage. There will be no increase to the premium.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The California Children's Services (CCS) program is administered as a partnership between county health departments and the California Department of Health Care Services (State). It is a state program that assists children with certain diseases, physical limitations, or chronic health problems.

The Department of Public Health (DPH) offers Medical Therapy Conferences (MTCs) through the CCS program. The conferences provide medical case management, under the direction of an orthopedist and/or pediatrician, to eligible children to develop a comprehensive and coor...
