RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve and authorize the submission of a grant application to the California Department of Aging for Access to Technology Program funding to provide older adults and adults with disabilities access to digital connectivity and technology, in the amount of $2,793,450, for the period of October 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.
2. Authorize the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Chief Executive Officer, or Director of the Department of Aging and Adult Services - Public Guardian to execute and submit any subsequent non-substantive application documents required to receive the grant award from the California Department of Aging for Access to Technology Program funding, on behalf of the County, subject to review by County Counsel.
3. Direct the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Chief Executive Officer, or Director of the Department of Aging and Adult Services - Public Guardian to transmit all non-substantive documents in relation to the Access to Technology Program grant application to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.
