Approve Employment Contract with Shannon Yauchzee for the provision of services as a Land Use Services Consultant, in the compensation amount of $100 per hour, for an estimated cost of $78,500 for a six-month term of August 8, 2022 through February 8, 2023.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The recommended employment contract includes an hourly rate of $100 per hour, and hours worked will not exceed 40 hours per pay period. Benefits are not included in the employment contract. Sufficient appropriation exists within the Land Use Services Department (Department) Building and Safety 2022-23 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department is in need of a consultant to guide the Department in the area of Development Services due to staffing transitions. The recommended contract employee shall manage and advise on all aspects of the Development Services, including the operations of regional and satellite offices that provide development review, plan review, building inspections and permits, and oversee technical services such as Geology, Engineering and Plan Review.
