RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve revenue agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (State Agreement No. 22-1120-000-SA) for the Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures to continue to provide inspection services related to the Nursery Inspection Program retroactively from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, for a maximum reimbursement of $17,754.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The revenue agreement specifies a term from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, for a maximum reimbursement of $17,754. Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures (AWM) 2022-23 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This revenue agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) will reimburse AWM for performing inspection services related to the Nursery Inspection Program for a maximum reimbursement of $17,754 from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

AWM currently performs inspections related to the Nursery Inspection Program, which includes inspecting nurseries throughout San Bernardino County for pest cleanliness, labeling, and grades and standards as required by the California Food and Agricultural Code Division 4, Part 3, Chapter 2, Article 1, ? 6903.
