RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Sponsor Agreement, including non-standard terms, with California Conservation Corps to provide personnel, equipment, and materials to assist with preservation projects at County Regional Parks, with cost of services to be negotiated for each project, effective November 15, 2022, and continuing until terminated by either party.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There are no explicit costs associated with this Sponsor Agreement (Agreement). All work performed under this Agreement will be negotiated between the California Conservation Corps (CCC) and the Regional Parks Department (Department) in future project proposals and the Department will be responsible for costs for labor, materials and supplies necessary for such projects. If such projects are negotiated, sufficient appropriation and revenue would be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of this Agreement will provide the Department with resources to assist with preservation projects identified at any of the eight Regional Parks. The CCC will provide job skills training, educational opportunities, and increased awareness of the State's natural resources to their young Corps members and employees. In turn, the Department will receive a dedicated workforce to assist with conservation and preservation projects. Examples...
