RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Find that the Glen Helen Regional Park Monument Project located at Glen Helen Regional Park is exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act, Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations Section 15311(a), Class 11, Accessory Structures.
2. Approve the Glen Helen Regional Park Monument Project as defined in the Notice of Exemption and direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to file and post the Notice of Exemption.
3. Approve the plans and specifications for the Glen Helen Regional Park Monument Project.
4. Authorize the Director of the Department of Public Works to advertise the Glen Helen Regional Park Monument Project for formal bids.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Funding for the Glen Helen Monument Project at Glen Helen Regional Park (Project) was approved by the Board of Supervisors (Board) on December 7, 2021 (Item No. 56). The funding consists primarily of a Proposition 68 grant that was issued by the California Department of Parks and Recreation Office of Grants and Local Services to the County's Regional Parks Department (Regional Parks). Sufficient appropriation and revenue for the Project are included in Regional Parks' 2022-23 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets as needed.
