Recommendation
Approve non-financial Affiliation Agreement, including non-standard terms, with Riverside Community College District on behalf of Riverside City College for Nursing students to obtain clinical training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for the five-year period of May 22, 2023 through May 21, 2028.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this Agreement with Riverside Community College District on behalf of Riverside City College (RCC) is non-financial in nature.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This Affiliation Agreement will provide clinical training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) to nursing students from RCC. As a teaching hospital, ARMC has a number of agreements with educational institutions to provide onsite training for students. The clinical training is necessary for students to obtain their degrees, licenses, and/or certifications that will provide for safety, health, and social service needs of county residents.
The volume and diversity of ARMC patients provides a comprehensive educational opportunity to students from RCC, which is a fully accredited educational institution. RCC and ARMC will mutually determine the number of students that will receive training.
