RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve revenue contract, including non-standard terms, with the City of Victorville for the provision of animal shelter services, in an amount not to exceed $50,000, for the period of May 23, 2023 through May 22, 2024.
2. Authorize the Department of Public Health - Animal Care to loan a limited number of animal care and housing equipment to the City of Victorville for the purpose of sheltering and caring for their sheltered animals for the term of the revenue contract.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Public Health (DPH) may receive revenue up to $50,000 for the provision of limited animal shelter services to the City of Victorville (City). The costs associated with these services will be reimbursed by the City on an actual cost basis. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the DPH 2022-23 budget and will be included in the DPH 2023-24 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Under the terms of the recommended revenue contract, DPH Animal Care (AC) will provide limited animal shelter services at the Devore Animal Shelter to the City on a case-by-case basis dependent on available space.
