RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 22-256 with Thieme Medical Publishers for the licensing and subscription of MedOne Neurosurgery, increasing the contract amount by $42,250 from $22,426 to $64,676, with no change to the contract term of April 1, 2022 and continuing until terminated by either party at any time after December 31, 2023.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The term of the agreement is indefinite, the cost of $42,250 is for January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026 and funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the Amendment to the Agreement with Thieme Medical Publishers (Thieme) will allow the ARMC Medical Library (Library) to continue to access MedOne Neurosurgery. MedOne Neurosurgery is an electronic reference database for use by healthcare professionals (e.g., attending physicians and resident physicians) to stay informed with current practices at the point of care.
