BACKGROUND INFORMATION
San Bernardino County Policy No. 02-09 section (B)(3) states: "The Board of Supervisors shall review a Commission every four years to determine whether to extend the life of the Commission." The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors (COB) coordinates the periodic review of Boards, Commissions and Committees (BCCs), and for 2023 only one BCC was subject to the Sunset Review. COB sent an inquiry to the liaison agency, Veterans Affairs, asking for their recommendation regarding the continuation or sunset of the Veterans Advisory Committee. Liaison agencies are typically County departments providing administrative support and coordinating activities of the BCC. The COB received a response from Veterans Affairs and their recommendation forms the basis of the recommended action.
