HIST-52749
| | Historical | Ratify the action of the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, while serving as the Director of Emergency Services, proclaiming the existence of a local emergency on September 1, 2009, as a result of fires in San Bernardino County, referred to as the Oak Glen III and Pendleton Fires, spreading in the community of Oak Glen and near the City of Yucaipa, and the threat posed from the “Station Fire” in Los Angeles County that is spreading eastward toward San Bernardino County. Continue the Emergency Proclamation regarding the local fire emergency, as conditions that threaten extreme peril to the safety of persons and property still exist and there continues to be an emergency due to the numerous debris removal, fire recovery issues, and potential for smoldering brush and trees in burned areas to reignite. (Affected Districts: All) (Presenter: Chairman Gary C. Ovitt, Fourth District Supervisor, 387-4866) | APPROVED | |
