Reports from County Counsel and Chief Executive Officer  
County Counsel, Tom Bunton, stated in the case of San Bernardino County v. Everest National  
Insurance Company, et al., the Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to file a writ asking the Court of Appeal  
to review the trial court’s orders denying the County’s motions for summary judgment in this case  
which seeks recovery from multiple insurance companies from money paid to settle lawsuits.  
Chief Executive Officer, Luther Snoke, congratulated the Multimedia Services Team, County Museum,  
and Department of Public Works on receiving two best video awards from the California Association of  
Public Information Officers STAR Awards Ceremony.  
Individual Board Member Comments  
Vice Chair and Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. thanked Children and Family Services for hosting  
an Independent City event at Valley College. He thanked Assemblymember James Ramos and  
Governor Gavin Newsom for their work on AB 385. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. thanked the County Museum  
for hosting Old Spanish Trail Day. He recognized five individuals from the Fifth District in honor of  
Hispanic Heritage Month. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. said they are holding a college and career readiness  
event on Friday, October 10, 2025 in the Chambers. He highlighted the following items on the agenda:

Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez highlighted the following events he attended: Fontana  
Chamber of Commerce’s Passing of the Gavel, San Bernardino County Sheriff Rodeo, Tesla Road  
Show, a visit with Jurupa Vista Elementary, Change the Narrative, and the 35th Anniversary of Water  
of Life Church. He stated he is hosting “Let’s Taco ‘Bout It” at La Tapatia in Fontana tonight, October  
7, 2025.  
Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman provided an update regarding the following boards he sits on:  
San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, Southern California Associated Governments, and  
Ontario International Airport Authority. He said the Shoppes at Chino Hills will host a Trick or Treat  
event on October 31, 2025.  
Chair and Third District Supervisor thanked Dan Munsey and County Fire for their partnership with  
Tesla to get resources to communities. She highlighted the following item on the agenda: 2.
