RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve a Freeway Maintenance Agreement, effective upon execution by the State of California Department of Transportation, between County and the State of California Department of Transportation that updates and supersedes portions of the previous executed Freeway Maintenance Agreement (County Contract No. 86-819), and defines the control and maintenance of roads and highways lying within the unincorporated region of the County of San Bernardino (County) along Interstate 15 (I-15) and Interstate 215 (I-215), in the Devore and San Bernardino areas.
2. Adopt resolution that accepts portions of Cajon Boulevard and Sycamore Creek Drive that crosses I-15 and I-215 in the County unincorporated areas of Devore and San Bernardino into the County Maintained Road System.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). There are minor administrative costs associated with the approval of Cajon Boulevard and Sycamore Creek Drive as County roads; and the roadway maintenance obligations assigned to the County under this Freeway Maintenance Agreement (FMA) are or will be included as part of the annual County road maintenance budget.
