Recommendation
Accept amended grant award, Amendment No. 1 to County Contract No. 19-185 (Award No. 6 H80CS00657-18-03), from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration for the Service Area Competition under the Health Center Program for Federally Qualified Health Centers, increasing the grant award by $111,750, from $1,858,347 to $1,970,097, for the period of March 1, 2019 through February 29, 2020.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The increase of $111,750 to the grant award for operational support of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) does not require a match. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2019-20 budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DPH receives annual funding from HRSA to provide a variety of services to San Bernardino County residents. Under the Health Center Program, HRSA provides funding for operational support for DPH's four FQHCs located in Adelanto, Hesperia, Ontario, and San Bernardino.
