RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve contract with Mt. Rubidouxidence Opco LLC, doing business as Jurupa Hills Post Acute Care, to provide Post-Acute Care Skilled Nursing to uninsured patients of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in an amount not to exceed $250,000 for the period of December 17, 2019 through March 31, 2020.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of a contract with Mt. Rubidouxidence Opco LLC, doing business as Jurupa Hills Post-Acute Care, (Jurupa Hills) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the $250,000 for the Skilled Nursing Facility is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2019-20 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Currently, ARMC has uninsured patients that no longer meet inpatient criteria and require a lower level of care. The lower level of care includes rehabilitative services, wound care, IV antibiotic therapy, dietary services, sitters for behavioral health patients and other therapies which have been prescribed as a result of an accident, injury, illness or disability.
