RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD):
1. Declare the following vehicles as surplus property that no longer meet the needs of SBCFPD:
a. 1990 Pierce Lance Rescue Engine (Equipment No. 99861/VIN 4P1CT02E6LA000538), which is fully depreciated and has no value due to its age.
b. 1980 Mack Water Tender (Equipment No. 193281/VIN MR686501252), which is fully depreciated and has no value due to its age.
c. 2000 International Fire Truck (Equipment No. 018378/VIN 1HTSDADR11H293716), which is fully depreciated and has an estimated value of approximately $3,000.
2. Approve a no cost agreement with Fontana Rotary Club for transfer of the surplus rescue engine, water tender, and fire truck, as referenced in Recommendation No. 1, in consideration of SBCFPD receiving a full release of liability upon transfer of title.
3. Authorize the Director of the Fleet Management Department to execute all necessary documentation for transfer of title of the surplus vehicles identified in Recommendation No. 1 to Fontana Rotary Club.
