RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to Grant Award No. 19-471 with the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) for the 2018 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Program, extending the performance period by three months, for a new award period of January 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020, with no change to the total award amount of $77,685 to provide training for the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator Crime Lab personnel.
2. Ratify action by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to execute the amendment on behalf of the County, to comply with Cal OES requirements.
3. Direct the CEO to transmit the amendment to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

The grant amendment will extend the performance period by three months, to March 31, 2020, for the 2018 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Program for Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator (Department), without any changes to the original award amount of $77,685.
