Recommendation
Authorize the Regional Parks Department to accept payment in the amount of $79,169 for Santa Ana River Trail mitigation fees from Duke Realty as part of the County of San Bernardino's conditions for approval of its industrial warehouse development.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Regional Parks Department (Department) will accept payment in the amount of $79,169 from Duke Realty (Contributor) for the cost of Santa Ana River Trail (SART) mitigation fees. This unanticipated revenue is not included in the Department's 2019-20 budget. Approval of budget adjustments to the Department's budget is not requested at this time, but may be included on a future quarterly countywide budget report presented to the Board of Supervisors for approval.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Regional Parks Department was assigned by the Board of Supervisors to be the steward charged with the development, operation, and maintenance of the regional trail systems throughout San Bernardino County, which includes SART. SART is over 22 miles of continuous trail linking to Riverside County. There are currently 7 miles of the trail that is developed.
