RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve the non-competitive purchase of two ultraviolet room disinfection systems, unbudgeted fixed assets, from Performance Medical Solutions in a total amount of $125,000, for the decontamination of rooms at the Central and High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Centers.
2. Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post the $125,000 budget adjustment for 2019-20, as identified in the Financial Impact Section, for the purchase of two UV room disinfection systems (Four Votes Required).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Probation Department (Department) is requesting a budget adjustment in the amount of $125,000 to fund the purchase of two ultraviolet (UV) room disinfection systems, medical equipment related to COVID-19 preparedness. Sufficient appropriation is included in the Department's 2019-20 budget.
