Accept Portions of Juniper Lane and Arth Drive, in the Crestline Area, into the County Maintained Road System

RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Adopt Resolution that accepts the following roads into the County Maintained Road System pursuant to Streets and Highways Code section 941:
1. Juniper Lane, from Sequoia Place east to current maintained section, in the Crestline Area;
2. Arth Drive, from Saxton Drive north to current maintained section, in the Crestline Area.

Pursue County Goals and Objectives by Working with Other Agencies.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this action will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Minor administrative costs associated with updating the Department of Public Works (Department) records, as well as future maintenance costs associated with the subject roads will be funded by Gas Tax revenue. Sufficient appropriation is available in the Department's 2020-21 Road Operations budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Pursuant to Streets and Highways Code section 941, the Board of Supervisors may accept into the County Maintained Road System (CMRS) roads that are necessary to public convenience. The Department during routine examining of maintenance limits in our GIS mapping, staff noticed that Juniper Lane and Arth Drive had gaps in the described maintenance limits which needed to be corrected in order for the Department to perform maintenance.
