RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve contracts with the following agencies to provide Ryan White Part B HIV Care Program and Part B Minority AIDS Initiative services, in the total amount of $2,245,530, for the three-year contract period of April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2024:
1. Borrego Community Health Foundation, in the amount of $204,039.
2. Foothill AIDS Project, in the amount of $1,542,645.
3. Young Scholars for Academic Empowerment dba TruEvolution, Inc., in the amount of $498,846.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total amount of $2,245,530 for these contracts is funded by Ryan White Part B Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Care Program ($2,034,717) and Part B Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) ($210,813) through the California Department of Public Health, Office of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2020-21 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Office of AIDS is the State grantee for Ryan White Part B and allocates funds for the administration of HIV Care Program (HCP) and MAI through local health jurisdictions, such as San Bernardino County.
