RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 20-933 with Harris Koenig Associates, to increase the not to exceed amount by $200,000, from $350,000 to $550,000, and extend the contract term through June 30, 2022, for a total contract period of April 15, 2020 through June 30, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this recommendation will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Adequate appropriation for the total cost of $200,000 is included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's 2020-21 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets. The department, in coordination with County Finance, will monitor the potential availability of other funding sources, including the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, to potentially offset the cost of this agreement. In the absence of other funding sources, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) will fund the total cost of this agreement.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval on the recommendation will allow ARMC to continue to work, on behalf of the County, with Harris Koenig and Associates (Koenig) on providing leadership assistance during the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Koenig is responsible for coordinating the County of San Bernardino's (County) response to current healthcare needs in Acute Care hospitals and Skilled Nursing/Congregant Living Facilities in the County, including bed an...
