RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1, effective April 6, 2021, to Revenue Contract No. 20-180 (State Revenue Agreement No. FP-1920-20) with the California Department of Aging for the Dignity At Home Fall Prevention Program to provide fall and injury prevention services, with no change to the total contract amount of $143,750, extending the contract period for an additional nine months, for a total contract period of February 1, 2020 through March 31, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Revenue in the amount of $143,750 for Dignity At Home Fall Prevention Program services is 100% State funded by the California Department of Aging (CDA). Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Aging and Adult Services' (DAAS) 2020-21 budget and will be included in the 2021-22 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Revenue Contract No. 20-180 with CDA provides Dignity At Home Fall Prevention Program funding to DAAS for fall prevention services to eligible individuals who are 60 years of age or older, or have disabilities. The recommended amendment will allow DAAS additional time to expend all the revenue allocated for fall prevention services by extending the agreement with CDA through March 31, 2022.
