RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Contract (SAP Contract No. 4400006762) with Alex Bohanek, dba A B Landscape, to increase the amount by $300,000 from $1,500,000, to an amount not to exceed $1,800,000, with no change to the term of July 30, 2017 through June 30, 2022, for tree trimming and removal services.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the recommendation to increase SAP Contract No. 4400006762 with Alex Bohanek, dba A B Landscape (A B Landscape) will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) Costs associated with this contract are reimbursed through billing to property owners or levying special assessments against the properties for any unpaid balances. Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in the Land Use Services Department Code Enforcement (LUS) 2020-21 budget and 2021-22 Recommended budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
LUS provides fire and weed hazard abatement services through the Fire Hazard Abatement (FHA) Division in the Mountain, High Desert and Valley regions. The FHA process begins when FHA conducts inspections of properties to determine if hazardous fire conditions exist.
