RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Contract with University Enterprises Corporation at California State University, San Bernardino to provide rehabilitative services to justice-involved individuals and their families participating in the Family Attachment Intervention Through Healing Solutions (FAITHS) throughcare program, in an amount not to exceed $5,070,813 for the period of June 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024, with the option to extend the term for two additional one-year periods.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The costs associated with this contract, in an amount not to exceed $5,070,813 for the period of June 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024, will be funded by the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's (Department) Inmate Welfare Fund (IWF) (4420005167). California Penal Code Section 4025 provides for the Department to maintain an IWF for the benefit, education, and welfare of inmates, and the maintenance of county jail facilities; and that the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator has sole discretion on IWF spending.
