RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Acting as the governing body of San Bernardino County:
a. Accept grant award (Grant Award No. 2020-0095) in the amount of $2,323,837 from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services for the FY 2020 Homeland Security Grant Program, of which San Bernardino County will retain $1,186,018 and the remaining $1,137,819 will be distributed to grant subrecipients, to continue San Bernardino County's efforts in preventing, protecting against, responding to, and recovering from acts of terrorism, with a grant performance period of September 1, 2020 to May 31, 2023.
b. Approve Subrecipient Assurances template to be entered into between San Bernardino County and all grant subrecipients for Grant Award No. 2020-0095.
c. Authorize the Emergency Services Manager to sign the Subrecipient Assurances with all grant subrecipients and any other documents necessary to secure Grant Award No. 2020-0095.
d. Adopt resolution that amends Resolution 2021-11 by including the Emergency Services Manager, along with other officers and employees previously identified in Resolution No. 2021-11, as an authorized agent to take certain actions, including the execution of project modifications, necessary for administering the FY 2020 Homeland Security Grant Program on behalf of San Bernardino County.
