RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve an increase of appropriation to Contract No. 20-151 with Centrak, Inc. in the amount of $60,000 for temperature monitoring of critical refrigeration and freezer units, increasing the contract amount from $215,230 to a total contract amount of $275,230, with no change to the contract term of March 24, 2020 through March 23, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the $275,230 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2022-2023 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On March 24, 2020 (Item No. 9), the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved Agreement No. 20-151 with Centrak, Inc. (Centrak) to provide services for sensor and probe replacement, temperature monitoring of ARMC's medication, lab, and nutritional refrigerators/freezers, associated cloud services for daily temperature monitoring, and maintenance of historical temperature data.
