RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve the purchase of 100 Motorola APX6000 handheld radios and associated accessories, unbudgeted fixed assets, in a total amount of $675,000, for use by Probation Officers.
2. Authorize the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector to post the $675,000 budget adjustment for 2019-20, for the purchase of 100 Motorola APX6000 handheld radios and associated accessories, as identified in the Financial Impact Section (Four Votes Required).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Probation Department (Department) is requesting a budget adjustment in the amount of $675,000 to purchase 100 Motorola APX6000 handheld radios and associated accessories to maintain a stock of radios. Sufficient appropriation is available within the Department's 2019-20 budget. This purchase is funded by the Department's FY2019-20 AB109 allocation.
