RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, approve Joint Funding Agreement with the United States Geological Survey for the operation and maintenance of three surface water gauging stations located at Caruthers Creek near lvanpah, West Fork Mojave River near Hesperia, and Santa Ana River in San Bernardino, in which the United States Geological Survey will contribute $22,005 for the period of October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The San Bernardino County Flood Control District (District) is funded by property tax revenue, fee revenue, and other local, state, and federal funding. Based on the Joint Funding Agreement (Agreement), the United States Geological Survey (USGS) will contribute 30.27% ($22,005) and the District will contribute 69.73% ($50,685) of the total cost of $72,690 for the operation and maintenance of three surface water gauging stations located at Caruthers Creek near lvanpah, West Fork Mojave River near Hesperia, and Santa Ana River in San Bernardino.
