RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Adopt Resolutions for the following programs, authorizing the Chair of the Board of Supervisors, the Chief Executive Officer, or the Director of the Preschool Services Department to execute all required Continued Funding Application and State Revenue Contract documents, including any subsequent, non-substantive amendments, in relation to these programs, for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, on behalf of the County, as required by the California Department of Education, subject to review by County Counsel:
1. California State Preschool Program
2. California Pre-Kindergarten and Family Literacy Support Program
3. General Child Care and Development Program

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost), as the Resolutions will establish designated personnel to execute Continued Funding Application and State Revenue Contract documents for the California Department of Education (State), for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. The anticipated funding for this period is $7,249,395 for the California State Preschool Program (CSPP), $15,000 for the California Pre-Kindergarten and Family Literacy Support Program (CPKS), and $3,254,472 for the General Child Care and Development Program (CCTR).
